Askdrtech Goes to QuinStreet

QuinStreet, Redwood City, CA, has been named agency for askdrtech.com, an online computer customer support service that targets first-time and average computer users.

The agency is charged with handling creative marketing and lead generation management to help drive traffic to the site at www.askdrtech.com and convert them to paying customers. There was no formal review process involving other agencies.

“They're a new service that's interested in getting the word out, so what we're doing is reach and penetration,” said Doug Valenti, CEO of QuinStreet.

QuinStreet is an online direct marketing company that works with direct sellers of specialty goods to create Internet sales channels that complement their offline channels.

One-and-a-half years old, QuinStreet recently signed iMotors.com, Select Comfort, University of Phoenix, American Red Cross, Kiss My Face and Hooked On Phonics.

For askdrtech.com, QuinStreet will build distribution, finding sites that are good fits for the 2-year-old site. Another responsibility is creating campaigns that include banners, newsletters, advertorials and e-mails.

Askdrtech.com, San Jose, CA, provides toll-free and online technical support for PC users. Through this new marketing initiative, it hopes to enroll members or corporations on a club-fee basis for unlimited customer support.

“We have a network of 50,000 member sites, and the sites that we're targeting either already have information about PCs or software or are office-type sites that communicate with small businesses,” Valenti said.
