Ask Jeeves Adds Comparison Shopping

DealTime and Ask Jeeves yesterday announced they would partner to provide Ask Jeeves' 16 million monthly unique visitors with access to shopping search tools on its flagship search site, www.ask.com.

Through the agreement, DealTime's search technology will work with Ask Jeeves' natural language search engine to provide comparison shopping and access to millions of products through hundreds of merchants.

According to the two companies, the combination of Ask Jeeves' natural language capabilities and DealTime's search algorithms allows Ask Jeeves users to quickly search for and find the products they need at the prices they want. As a result, when consumers ask shopping-related questions such as, “Where can I compare prices on digital cameras?” Ask Jeeves will offer them DealTime's search results.
