Zions Bancorporation is using an Ascential Software Corp. suite to provide an enterprise-wide view of business units, products and customers, the Westboro, MA, enterprise data integration company said yesterday.
Zions Bancorporation, Salt Lake City, operates 400 full-service banking offices in eight Western states. It offers commercial, installment and mortgage loans; trust services; insurance services; foreign banking services; electronic and online banking; automatic deposit as well as nationwide banking and transfer services; and checking and savings programs.
Zions will work with Ascential to build an enterprise data warehouse that better organizes internal data to support timely, efficient access to information for decision support across the bank's departments. Components of the suite will let the bank identify inaccurate or redundant data, apply business rules for added standardization and format the information for reporting out of the enterprise data warehouse.
Ascential's Enterprise Integration Suite profiles, cleanses and transforms data from any application or system, regardless of data volume or latency.
