Arrow Division Boosts Contract Size 400 Percent

Business solutions provider Endeca said yesterday that The Global Information Business, a business unit of Arrow Electronics Inc., has seen its average contract size rise 400 percent after switching to search and navigation technology Endeca InFront.

Arrow serves as a supply channel partner for more than 600 suppliers and 175,000 original equipment manufacturers, contract manufacturers and commercial customers in 40 countries.

GIB also reported lower customer support costs and higher customer retention, according to Endeca, Cambridge, MA. Using the new navigation technology reportedly made it easier for engineers to find information, resulting in fewer calls to Arrow's customer service department and increased customer retention.

Endeca's navigation technology products are designed for use with many enterprise applications including CRM, analytics, catalogs, directories and portals. Other Endeca clients include Barnes & Noble, Fidelity Investments and Eddie Bauer.
