Invacare Corp., New Orleans, is preparing to debut a direct response television campaign in the first half of 2002 featuring legendary golfer Arnold Palmer as spokesman.
The campaign will promote Invacare's home medical products. The campaign's slogan, “Yes, you can,” will urge consumers to live independent lives with the aid of the company's products.
Palmer was picked as spokesman for the campaign because of his reputation for achievement and his positive attitude, Invacare executives said. The company expects Palmer to help establish its brand, create attention for Invacare products and accelerate their acceptance by consumers.
In addition to the DRTV campaign, Palmer will appear in Invacare television, print and radio advertising, point-of-purchase displays and merchandising materials.
