AOL UK to Use Eyeblaster 5.3

AOL UK will use new Eyeblaster 5.3 technology to introduce a 1-megabyte rich media advertisement this week for its AOL Music Sessions@AOL.

Produced by the Dulles, VA-based Internet service provider, Sessions@AOL will feature in-studio performances and interviews with artists like Madonna, 50 Cent, LeAnn Rimes and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Using Eyeblaster's expandable banner format, the ad will combine music video segments from assorted artists in a Flash MX-based environment when the user interacts.

New York-based Eyeblaster claims its new 5.3 version makes it easier for online advertisers to create, manage and track rich media campaigns. A key benefit of Eyeblaster 5.3 is the ability to serve file sizes up to 1MB.

The 1MB limit can be used for Flash files in all seven Eyeblaster ad formats. This includes the floating ad, interstitial window ad, full-page overlay formats and commercial break.
