AOL LLC and Mark Burnett Productions partnered with CBS to add another dimension to Gold Rush, an online reality game.
The real-life cross platform media event involves 13 gold-laden armored trucks heading off into the darkness, with their catches about to be hidden somewhere in the country.
Twelve of these trucks contain $100,000 in solid gold and the 13th has $1 million of the same precious metal.
All told, $2 million will be handed out to players using clues found in CBS’ fall program premieres and commercials, AOL.com and other media properties. This national treasure hunt is open to all, accessed through www.aol.com/goldrush.
