Amazon.com, Seattle, has selected SAS e-Intelligence solutions to fine-tune business operations, strengthen supplier relationships and enhance customer service, the software and services vendor said.
The agreement with SAS equips Amazon.com with a range of SAS software and services over the next five years. SAS e-Intelligence solutions add intelligence to Web-based processes, improving the effectiveness and profitability of business processes, operations and relationships.
SAS e-Intelligence will help Amazon.com employees and managers share and act on knowledge easily and quickly. Amazon also will be able to better serve customers by assuring that they receive orders as quickly as possible through improved inventory forecasting and management.
