Amazon.com, Seattle, launched a new Internet address yesterday aimed at mobile phone users. The site will allow online shopping transactions to be conducted through wireless devices.
Consumers with wireless Internet phones will be able to access the new site to purchase products, check on shipping, research information and compare prices.
Last Thursday Amazon launched a mobile Web site in Europe through deals with Nokia and Motorola.
