American List Counsel, Princeton, NJ, has formed an e-mail list management division called ALC eManagement.
“What we're trying to do is bring branded files to the marketplace,” said Mike Gural, senior group account manager and head of the new ALC division. “There is a demand for branded files as opposed to the sweepstakes and general-interest e-mail lists that are now available.”
Files managed by the new division include AmericanBaby.com and Seventeen.com, he said. Before the creation of ALC eManagement, ALC's traditional list management department handled e-mail files.
ALC also has a sister Internet marketing company, Impower, that specializes in e-mail list brokerage.
“We are a bridge between Impower and ALC,” Gural said. While the new division uses many of the resources of ALC, it has four of its own full-time employees.
