ALC Debuts Transactional Web Site

American List Counsel yesterday went live with a preliminary opening of ALClists.com, its transactional Web site that marketers can use to run counts and download list data directly to their computers.

“We've set up the system for two different marketing channels: the small end-user that needs a list and the reseller — such as lettershops, advertising agencies and the brokerage community — that orders lists all the time,” said Stacey Girt, vice president of direct sales at American List Counsel, Princeton, NJ.

Small marketers can order online with a credit card, while established ALC clients can set up accounts with credit limits and pay for lists via invoice.

ALC partnered with application service provider Alvion Technologies, Cape Coral, FL, in December to develop the Web site.

The site contains compiled databases of more than 15 million Dun & Bradstreet business names and more than 81 million Equifax consumer names.

The ALC proprietary compiled databases will be added April 15, Girt said. ALC plans to add other files to the roster in the future.

“Our goal is to slowly migrate in some of our managed properties,” Girt said. “We're looking to build a database that will be more than a compiled file portal.”
