American List Counsel, Princeton, NJ, announced its acquisition yesterday of CircTrack, a circulation tracking service that provides publishing professionals with benchmarks, performance indicators, trends and forecasts.
Dan Capell, circulation consultant and publisher of Capell's Circulation Report, founded CircTrack in 1997. He will continue to contribute editorial analysis to CircTrack reports. Publisher Kevin Whelan also will stay on.
ALC plans to enhance CircTrack with additional data, access to real-time, customized reports as well as trends and best practices analyses, according to the firm.
