ALC Asks Clients to Remit to CT Address

With anthrax investigations forcing the intermittent closing of its local post office, American List Counsel has asked its clients to remit payments to the firm's lockbox in Connecticut instead of sending checks to Princeton, NJ.

“They haven't given us any date of when they expect normal mail to resume,” said Stuart Corby, associate manager of financial services at American List Counsel. “They've just let us know that they're still investigating and still doing their cleanup.”

Though ALC established the box six months ago, before the anthrax threat occurred, many checks were still received in Princeton, anyway.

To keep accounts current during the period of inconsistent mail service, ALC urged clients in an e-mail to use the new address. In part it said, “In order to avoid any delay which could cause your account to be delinquent, please send all remittances for American List Counsel invoices to our lock box at: American List Counsel, PO Box 32189, Hartford, CT 06150-2189.”
