Several major airlines yesterday said they plan to form an online business-to-business marketplace for airline-related goods.
Air France, American Airlines, British Airways, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines agreed to invest an amount proportionate to the equity each receives to found the new independent company.
The U.S.-based marketplace will include fuel, fuel services, air frames, avionics and engine parts and services, as well as other goods.
No launch date was given.
