The Association for Interactive Media and Unica Corp., a provider of analytical customer relationship management and marketing automation solutions, announced the five finalists of the first AIM/Unica Personalization Excellence Awards on Friday.
The awards program honors companies leading the industry in implementing personalized marketing and services for their customers, and it is the first award to recognize how customer loyalty and satisfaction can be impacted by successfully balancing personalization with best practices in protecting consumer privacy.
The finalists, from more than 25 submissions, include Mercedes/Critical Mass; Supergo/Be Free; GE Medical Systems; Olive Garden/Agency.com; and HBO.com.
The awards judges include Kevin Noonan, Yankee Group vice president of Internet and media research; Scott Nelson, GartnerGroup vice president and research director for customer relationship management; and AIM executive director Ben Isaacson.
The winner and runner-up will be announced at an awards ceremony May 15 at AIM's annual meeting, AIM Interact: 2001, at the Westin Innisbrook Resort in Tampa, FL.
