Agency Forethought Marketing opens for SMBs

New firm Forethought Marketing has opened its doors in Miami. The company will offer marketing strategies and business development to small and midsize businesses that may not have the resources to hire an in-house marketing executive or a large agency.

“The traditional agency model is being challenged,” said Suzanne Sarsfield, CEO of Forethought Marketing. “There are so many media outlets and they’re constantly changing, so quickly that the model of agencies can’t adjust fast enough.”

Sarsfield spent the past 14 years at ad agency Anthony Baradat & Associates, where she served as a media buyer and planner and director of account services and, most recently, in business development.

She said the company will have an emphasis on healthcare and higher education clients.

Services will range from marketing plan development, to campaign development and launches, to functions of a marketing director on a project or freelance basis.

Sarsfield said because of the state of the current economy, it’s a perfect time to launch a company like Forethought. “A lot of companies are scaling back and letting people go and a lot of those people performed functions in the marketing space,” she said, “So they still need marketing savvy in these times without a high overhead, another hire or a major agency on board.”
