Targeted direct mail firm Advo plans to launch a weekend mailing program in the Las Vegas market next month.
The company said yesterday it will send the mailing to 500,000 households weekly on Friday and Saturday. The mailing is designed to complement Advo’s existing mid-week shared mail program.
The Las Vegas initiative is similar to a program Advo recently began in the Albuquerque, NM, area, and the company said it will likely initiate similar programs in other markets.
“Las Vegas and Albuquerque are very strong maarkets for us, and we primarily target our stronger markets for second-mailing programs,” said Chris Hutter, an ADVO spokesman. “There is a strong high-density for retail intense areas and these areas are growing fast.”
Advo, Windsor, CT, said more than two dozen retailers, both local and national, have agreed to participate in the mailing.
“This new program in Las Vegas enables us to offer our targeted distribution capabilities to categories of clients who have traditionally preferred weekend in-home dates,” said Gary Mulloy, ADVO's chairman/CEO.
