Adrea Rubin Grabs Relaunched Fingerhut File

Adrea Rubin Management Inc., New York, yesterday announced its appointment as list manager for the relaunched Fingerhut Masterfile effective July 18.

The Fingerhut catalog was relaunched in late 2002 after the name and assets were purchased from Federated Department Stores by Ted Deikel and Tom Petters last July.

The first mailing was a holiday book that dropped Nov. 9, 2002. Six additional books have dropped so far in 2003. The new catalog continues to feature merchandise such as housewares, jewelry and electronics targeted at a lower-middle-class consumer.

“The new Fingerhut Masterfile will include newly reactivated customers as well as previously offered older names,” Linda Sandler, president of Adrea Rubin Management Inc., said in a statement. “What’s even more exciting is the opportunity to accept offers in certain categories that were previously restricted and to have favorable tiered pricing levels.”

Further details on the file were unavailable at press time.

Adrea Rubin previously had acted as list broker for Fingerhut for nearly 20 years.
