Ad Pepper Media Closes Miami Office, Lays Off 10 Workers

Advertising network ad pepper media, based in Nuremberg, Germany, closed its Miami office yesterday and laid off 10 employees.

The office, open for only eight months, served the Latin American market.

Philip Ellison, ad pepper's spokesman, said that even though the company closed the Miami office, it does not plan to eliminate services to Latin America.

“The focus of our U.S. operation is based out of our New York headquarters,” Ellison said. “Our feeling is that while we closed our Miami office, we have not eliminated covering the Spanish-speaking markets.

The company recently has been refocusing its business lines. On Jan. 17, Glenn Klepchick, the company's CEO in the United States, resigned for personal reasons. Chief operating officer Louis Pereira and chief financial officer Charles Harrison will split his duties. Pereira will take on Klepchick's marketing duties, Ellison said.
