Adfonic, a European mobile advertising network, has introduced a new version of its Adfonic software development kit for Apple and Android devices, said James Macdonald, Adfonic’s US general manager.
Adfonic maintains this version — its SDK Version 2.0 — will enable marketers to more effectively track mobile campaigns and marketing metrics in order to better target mobile ads to consumers. Part of its enhancements reduce the complexity of rich media campaigns by establishing a standard set of commands that comply with the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s standards.
The new version also offers support for a wide variety of mobile ad formats, including full-screen, and is compatible with both smartphone and tablet devices.
“We’re enabling developers to continue to offer marketers great tracking opportunities,” Macdonald said. “It’s about making sure their [apps] are compliant and allowing marketers to track their ROI.”
Earlier this month, Adfonic launched video advertising for mobile on Android and iOS phones.
