Ad Council “Boosts” teens with tissues

The Ad Council and the U.S. Army have partnered with AdPack USA and Zim2 to support “Boost,” a public service advertising campaign designed to motivate students to stay in school and obtain a high school diploma.

The partnership will provide a donation of thousands of tissues boxes and individual tissue packs to New York City’s high schools with at-risk students.

AdPack USA is an out-of-home marketing company that uses promotional facial tissues, towelettes and wet towels. Zim2 is a youth marketing company that focuses on in-school campaigns.

The campaign will feature the stories of individuals who have already been helped by the campaign on the sponsored tissue boxes. They will be distributed through classrooms and guidance offices.

The Web site at www.boostup.org also features stories along with videos, pictures and a parents’ page.

Zim2 has relationships with more than 100,000 schools, libraries, camps, and youth service organizations across the country and addresses the increased demand for educational supplies for the youth community, teachers, administrators, schools and institutions due to budget cuts and inventory shortfalls.

From now until March, AdPack USA is holding a tissue pack design contest to engage students and schools alike. Contest rules and information can be found at www.adpackusa.com.
