Acxiom, Equitec Offer Retail Solution

NEW YORK — CRM players Acxiom Corp. and Equitec have joined hands to offer a new Customer-Centric Retail Solutions service to retailers and suppliers nationwide.

The offering marries Little Rock, AR-based Acxiom's Customer Information Management Solutions with Westlake, OH-based Equitec's analytics and retail customer intelligence. The announcement was made at this week's National Retail Federation's 92nd Annual Convention & Expo.

Customer-Centric Retail Solutions will use the retailer's existing database to improve the value of customer relationships. It is intended to unearth chain efficiencies, lower operational costs, boost sales, profits and return on investment, and increase revenues, a prepared statement from both companies claims.

The Home Depot has signed up as a client.

Separately, Harte-Hanks Inc. has launched Allink Retail, a CRM service that claims to boost customer relationships and retailer profitability. With this offering, the San Antonio, TX-based company aims to offer retailers a 360-degree view of the retailer's customer.

Allink Retail specifically will offer functionality for data capture, quality, management, access and events-based marketing.

Harte-Hanks aims to introduce many more such CRM solutions.
