Acxiom Corp., Little Rock, AR, said yesterday that it acquired ChinaLOOP, a business intelligence, CRM and data management firm based in Shanghai, China. Terms of the deal were not released.
Gabrielle Chou and Frederic Jouve co-founded ChinaLOOP in June 2000 and will remain with the firm under Acxiom. The company also has an office in Beijing.
ChinaLOOP's clients include a number of China-based and multinational companies including Diageo, Financial Times, Nokia, Total, Citroen and Johnson & Johnson.
“With the world's fastest-growing economy, China offers very strong growth opportunities for both domestic and multinational companies, and those companies will increasingly seek to gain market share through marketing intelligence and technology-based information solutions,” Acxiom company leader Charles D. Morgan said in a statement.
Earlier this year Acxiom expanded its European presence with the acquisitions of Claritas Europe and Consodata S.A.
