As part of a series of top-level management promotions, 1-800-Flowers has named Vinnie McVeigh, vice president, call centers. In his new capacity McVeigh will continue to oversee call center responsibility as well as work with co-founder and brothers, Jim McCann and Chris McCann to plan future growth.
In the promotions, McVeigh joins Donna Iucolano, who was tapped as vice president, interactive; Bill Shea, vice president, treasurer and controller; and Tom Hartnett, vice president, stores. The foursome will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that impact the company across all operating units, which include stores, the Internet, catalog sales and franchised flower shops.
“Expanding our floral management team now, to include these very qualified and experienced individuals, assures 1-800-flowers of continued growth,” said Jim McCann, president, in a statement announcing the promotions. “Our goal of enhancing the sight, sound and scent of the flower buying experience will come to bloom under the guidance of our newly-created floral management team.”
