Jessica Nordt leads the digital strategy for 100-plus hotel websites and is the creative director for the global brand site. In her role, Nordt uses research to drive revenue, increase conversion and customer engagement in a global marketplace. Under her leadership, RitzCarlton.com has received several awards including “Best Hotel Website” (Global Traveler Survey).

What has been your proudest career accomplishment to date?

My proudest career accomplishment was the two year, cross-functional initiative to re-design and migrate over 30,000 pages to a new content management platform. This allowed me to re-invent the brand’s digital ecosystem and develop an agile organization to innovate the digital guest experience.

What’s the best piece of advice you can give to future 40 under 40 honorees?

My best advice to future 40 under 40 honorees would be to find mentors that are invested in your career growth — but be willing to put in the work to make the most of those relationships. Also, never underestimate the importance of building and maintaining relationships within your industry. It can be as simple as setting up a quick coffee break or brunch on the weekend.

What do you hope to accomplish in the next 5 years?

In the next five years I would like to change the way content is developed and delivered to enhance the overall guest experience and provide a seamless, omni-channel customer journey. Additionally, I would like to grow a team of first-class, innovative, thought leaders.

What is one interesting fact about you that few people know?

I only eat the perimeter of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups — and throw away the center (or give it to my husband to eat to avoid being wasteful.
