What has been your proudest career accomplishment to date?
My boss, Yara Lutz — SVP of Client Success at Cheetah Digital — calling me into her office, sitting me down with a grim face, and telling me that I was her right hand man. “You can’t leave,” she said, “because I won’t let you.” Single best meeting I’ve ever had.
What’s the best piece of advice you can give to future 40 under 40 honorees?
Do not wait for permission to develop what’s necessary for your career and your business. At the end of the day, all that matters are results, so don’t hinder yourself by adhering to an arbitrary set of rules or processes: make those rules and processes work for you.
What do you hope to accomplish in the next 5 years?
My goal is to develop the Cheetah Digital analytics team into a globally recognized leader in marketing analysis through a mix of products and services that are unlike anything else available. And I aim to do that with a great, diverse team that I can help develop even as they develop me.
What is one interesting fact about you that few people know?
I take my Pittsburgh Steelers Terrible Towel with me almost everywhere I go. It’s been all over the world: Hawaii to New York to Colombia to England to India. It’s even seen the Taj Mahal.
