Rachel Phillips-Luther began her career at global PR agency FleishmanHillard. From there, she found her calling in the restaurant industry, working with several brands, including Sambuca Restaurant and Champps Entertainment.

Most recently, Phillips-Luther served as CMO of Zoës Kitchen before joining Jamba Juice. As a leader in marketing, she is a board member of Marketing Executives Group and has been recognized by numerous organizations.

What has been your proudest career accomplishment to date?

Taking Zoës Kitchen public was a career high. Our strategy for the IPO overdelivered. However, my biggest highlights are related to the success of my team.

What’s the best piece of advice you can give to future 40 Under 40 honorees?

Get outside your comfort zone. Have courage, grit, and gratitude. Have conversations that matter, fight for what you believe, and be grateful for every breath you’re gifted.

What do you hope to accomplish in the next five years?

My personal mission is to focus my energy on growing both people and brands with a passion for making the world better. I seek to leave a positive mark.

What is one interesting fact about you that few people know?

I sincerely believe that we can do anything we put our minds to.
