40 Under 40 2016: Jasmin Malone, Truth Initiative

A true West Coast girl at heart, Jasmin Malone was born and raised in sunny Southern California, but has conceded that Washington, DC, is now her home. Malone is director of marketing at Truth Initiative, which is America’s largest nonprofit public health organization dedicated to making tobacco use a thing of the past.

Before joining the firm, Malone played an integral role at a small advertising agency working with top entertainment companies and cable networks.

What has been your proudest career accomplishment to date?

Winning four Effie Awards for my work on the Finish It and Left Swipe Dat campaigns with Truth Initiative.

What’s the best piece of advice you can give to future 40 Under 40 honorees?

I would say choose a company and position you absolutely love, and you will never technically work a day in your life.

What do you hope to accomplish in the next five years?

I want to help eradicate teen cigarette smoking for future generations. As a mother of a 3-year-old son and newborn twin girls, I want my children to grow up in a tobacco-free world.

What is one interesting fact about you that few people know?

After a full work schedule, and being a supermom, I’m a certified Zumba instructor.
