'Moneyline's' Lou Dobbs Will Be DMA Conference Keynote

The Direct Marketing Association said yesterday that Lou Dobbs, anchor and producer of CNN's “Moneyline,” will present the opening keynote address Oct. 21 at its 85th Annual Conference & Exhibition, which takes place Oct. 20-23 at Moscone Center in San Francisco.

Dobbs will share his insight on the economy and how the direct and interactive marketing community is poised for the future. He will discuss how domestic and international political events will affect direct marketers and the business environment and offer his views on what lies ahead for the economy in the short and long term.

Dobbs is the force behind CNNfn and CNNfn.com. He was named “TV's premiere business news anchorman” by The Wall Street Journal. Dobbs has received an Emmy Award and the prestigious Peabody Award for his achievements in broadcast news.

In addition to Dobbs, the conference will feature keynote presentations by Sen. Joseph Lieberman, D-CT; postmaster general John E. Potter; Stan Rapp, chairman, MRM Partners; and H. Robert Wientzen, president/CEO of the DMA.
