Deluxe Corp., St. Paul, announced Jan. 28 that it has formed an alliance with Fair, Isaac and Co., San Rafael, CA, and Acxiom Corp., Conway, AR, to create the industry's first debit bureau, a data warehouse with decision-support capabilities to help financial service companies and retailers make better debit decisions. “The debit bureau will help prevent fraudsters from wreaking havoc with consumers' payment records,” said Greg Bjorndahl, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Deluxe. “It will also lower the impact and cost of fraud to the payment industry.” The three companies each will add their expertise to the alliance: Deluxe brings its relationships with financial service companies and retailers; Fair, Isaac brings sophisticated decisioning technology and payment industry experience; and Acxiom brings data integration, data warehousing and information technology expertise. In other news, Acxiom unveiled Solvitur, a new program for market management and data warehousing, earlier this week.
