24/7 Real Media Inc. opened a new office in Tokyo aimed at taking advantage of growth in the Japanese online advertising market and establishing itself in the search engine marketing space, the company said yesterday.
High-growth search engine marketing business will be the company's initial focus at the new office through the offering of 24/7 Search, 24/7 Real Media's search engine marketing platform. Other components will be available including the 24/7 OnTarget behavioral marketing technology and the Open AdSystem ad serving and analytics platform.
The company cited Japan's online population — one of Asia's largest behind China — and studies showing that Japan has the highest number of broadband users in the Pacific Rim and the second-largest online ad market next to the United States.
