A new JupiterResearch report singled out 24/7 Real Media, iProspect and Did-It as leading agencies in the search engine marketing space and Impaqt, iProspect and Reprise Media in the search engine optimization area.
The report, called “Search Engine Marketing Agency Constellation,” evaluated 15 SEM and SEO shops for market suitability, overall business value and agency size.
According to the report, while an increasing number of marketers are increasing their use of search agencies — 45 percent used a shop for one or more campaigns — only 21 percent are completely satisfied and have no plans to switch shops.
This means that search agencies must start differentiating themselves and building loyalty through better client service, JupiterResearch said. So client service is as important as technology and tracking to marketers as they increase their search spend.
