Zinio Signs Deal With Dow Jones for Asian Digital Editions

Dow Jones Publishing Company (Asia) Inc. struck a deal with Zinio Systems Inc. to make digital editions of The Asian Wall Street Journal and the Far Eastern Economic Review available on Zinio.com.


The Zinio deal also calls for publishing digital editions of The Wall Street Journal Briefings for China Business and China Manufacturing, both biweeklies that cover mergers and acquisitions as well as market developments in China.


Meanwhile, Zinio will be able to sell its digital publishing products and marketing services to magazine publishers in Thailand through a franchise agreement with Thai telecom firm True Digital Entertainment.


The Thai partner also will maintain online newsstands for direct consumer subscriptions using Zinio technology.


Zinio, San Francisco, deploys its technology for digital editions produced by publishers like Ziff Davis, VNU, Time Inc., Hearst Magazines, Hachette Filipacchi, Editorial Televisa and McGraw-Hill Companies.
