ZD Market, National Decision Make Pact

ZD Market Intelligence, La Jolla, CA, a provider of sales and marketing solutions to computer and telecommunications companies, has entered into an ongoing license agreement with marketing firm National Decision Systems (NDS), San Diego.

The agreement allows NDS to offer data from the ZD Technology User Profile, a twice-annual survey of computer users, with its consumer segmentation systems, which provide demographic, psychographic and lifestyle information on neighborhoods nationwide

"Before this, NDS didn't do any research on computer users. What they have done now by our partnership is to bring in an extra data point," said Corky Holden, ZD's senior product manager. "The NDS research can now help computer companies study markets and figure out where to open up retail stores."

The ZD Technology User Profile focuses on personal computer, communications and home technology use in the United States. Survey results are based on a 12-page written questionnaire that is mailed to more than 17,500 PC users.
