Y&R/Wunderman Alliance Created in Europe
Young & Rubicam Inc. combined the regional management of its Y&R Advertising and Wunderman arms in Europe to create a unified management structure.Called the Y&R/Wunderman Alliance, it will be led by former McKinsey & Co. consultant William Eccleshare, who will become chairman/CEO. He will report to Young & Rubicam chairman Michael J. Dolan and to Wunderman chairman/CEO Daniel Morel.
As head of Y&R Advertising in Europe, Eccleshare will succeed Etienne Boisrond, who will retire at year's end.
The European alliance is the third for Young & Rubicam. The agency has similar Y&R/Wunderman Alliance structures in parts of Latin America, a few European markets and Asia-Pacific.
