Yorkshire Water Taps DOC1Yorkshire Water selected Group 1 Software's DOC1 customer communications management solution to design, generate and deliver customer bills, Group 1, Lanham, MD, said last week.
Yorkshire Water, part of the Kelda Group, is one of the world's 10 largest providers of water and sewage services. Implementation of DOC1 is part of Yorkshire's ongoing billing re-engineering project, which will replace the old billing system with an adaptable one that provides enhanced customer services.
Yorkshire Water will use DOC1 to create customer-focused bills that are easy to understand and contain personalized marketing messages. DOC1 generates output for high-volume and on-demand printing as well as PDF, HTML and XML for online presentment.
"DOC1 is easy to use, which gives us the flexibility to create and modify the bill design ourselves," said Alan Pilliner, Yorkshire Water project manager. "We will have an industry standard file that is more flexible, meaning that we will no longer be tied to a specific format."
