Yesmail Partners on CAN-SPAM Webcast

InfoUSA, Omaha, NE, announced yesterday that its Yesmail e-mail marketing division partnered with Web marketing firm Accela Communications to create a Webcast on the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003, which took effect Jan. 1.


The Webcast covers these topics:


· CAN-SPAM's effect on e-mail marketing and compliance issues.


· How the CAN-SPAM law pre-empts state laws.


· Implications of the legislation on acquisition, retention, affiliate and co-branded e-mail marketing.


· Best practices for e-mail marketers.


The program was presented and co-authored by Jennifer Archie, a partner in the Washington, DC, office of Latham & Watkins LLP; and Steve Koenig, Yesmail's vice president of client services.
