Yahoo to Publish News From Tribune Online Papers

Tribune Interactive Inc. yesterday closed a deal with Yahoo Inc. to provide the Internet media company with local news and headlines from nine of Tribune's online newspapers.


The deal gives Yahoo News the right to publish content and other material from Tribune online publications based in Chicago; Los Angeles; New York; Orlando, FL; Baltimore; South Florida; Hartford, CT; Allentown, PA; and Hampton Roads, VA.


Company officials said all stories displayed on Yahoo News would include a link to the Tribune Interactive Web sites where they appeared.


Tribune Interactive's parent is the publisher of the Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times and Newsday.
