Yahoo to Promote Radiohead Album

Yahoo Inc., New York, and Capitol Records have teamed to promote the recently released Radiohead album "Amnesiac" through the end of June.

Yahoo's Music channel will carry files holding audio, video, photographs and concert footage of the band. Near the content, viewers will have the chance to order the compact disc.

The deal is not exclusive. Capitol, Los Angeles, also will use the interactive content to promote sales at its music site, www.hollywoodandvine.com.

The content was made available June 1, allowing Radiohead fans to hear the compact disc four days before its release. The impact of the sneak preview was bolstered by recent court rulings that prohibited Napster.com from offering pirated audio files of the album before its release.
