Yahoo takes on YouTube with new video offer

After a couple of false starts, Yahoo is taking its next step into online video by creating new original programming for the Web. Yahoo had a difficulty in its past endeavors with online video because TV was too steep a competitor, but this new content is aimed at being Web-centric. The Internet giant's executives have found that this strategy will make it sustainable by not competing with TV.
