Yahoo Starts Subscription Financial News Service

Yahoo Inc. began offering a subscription news service this week that will feature stock quotes and financial news.


Finance MarketTracker is available at a monthly cost of $9.95. Company officials said the service would be made available throughout its network. The service provides subscribers with market information streamed live to their desktops. Alerts also can be sent to pagers, cell phones and personal digital assistants.


Clients will have access to quotes from the New York, American and Nasdaq stock exchanges, as well as breaking news from editorial companies and market analysis.
