Yahoo Gets New Marketing and Infrastructure Software

Software firm Siebel Systems Inc. and Internet company Yahoo Inc. this week announced an agreement that, among other things, allowed Yahoo marketers to streamline meetings and production processes through multiple channels.

Siebel, San Mateo, CA, said its eBusiness software would also allow Yahoo to track co-marketing opportunities, whether they were received via the Web, by phone or any other source. Another potential use of the software is its Encyclopedia that entails a set of marketing programs that can be simultaneously accessed for direct marketing data.

Yahoo, Santa Clara, CA, said it would also use the software to route details to the appropriate sales representative or sales team. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
