Yahoo enhances toolbar and bookmarks

Yahoo Inc. released a new version of Yahoo Toolbar and Yahoo Bookmarks making it easier for users to access manage and recall their bookmarks from any computer.

Yahoo's bookmark enhancement makes it easier for individuals to save frequently visited Web sites. It allows them to port bookmarks from one product to another - taking more control over their own Web surfing, researching and shopping experience.

"Further enhancements to usability and integration with other Yahoo properties will also set the standard for bringing bookmarking tools to mainstream users, such as integration with improved Yahoo Toolbar also announced today," said John Roseburg, spokesperson for Yahoo. "

"In addition to making Yahoo Bookmarks accessible with just a single click, the new Yahoo Toolbar will also allow users to further personalize their Web experience by offering an unlimited amount of custom toolbar buttons - shortcuts to their favorite Web pages that will always be at their fingertips," he said.

The new version of Yahoo Toolbar offers more personalization options to make it more convenient for users to access and save their favorite Web pages.

New features include an i nstant "search suggest" to immediately find relevant bookmarks as users type in the search box and the unlimited ability to create custom toolbar buttons for added personalization and one click access to anywhere on the Web.

The new Yahoo Bookmarks features include improved user interface for more interactive, intuitive Bookmarks experience; t humbnails to easily recognize and quickly access saved bookmarks; ability to organize bookmarks through traditional folders; a dvanced search functionality to find bookmarks by title, improved bookmarks recovery; drag-and-drop capabilities for easy bookmark management and s haring bookmarks with friends via email or Yahoo Messenger.

Both products are available today in the United States, Germany and Taiwan.
