Yahoo Debuts Business Edition E-Mail Service

Yahoo Inc. has launched Yahoo Mail -- Business Edition, a premium service that offers small businesses a Web-based, customized branded e-mail address.

The premium service, which starts at $9.95 per month plus a $25 set-up fee, offers five e-mail accounts featuring Yahoo's Spamguard spam protection, anti-virus protection, Yahoo Address Book and Yahoo Calendar. The service has 25 megabytes of storage. The Web interface does not have banner ads and e-mail messages sent do not have taglines, Yahoo said.

The service, which currently is only available in the United States, is expandable up to 200 e-mail accounts. It also offers centralized account administration.
