Xchange, Net Perceptions in Co-Marketing Deal

Xchange, Boston, and Net Perceptions Inc., Minneapolis, yesterday agreed to co-market each other's products.

The deal will allow clients to combine Xchange's e-mail delivery capabilities with Net Perceptions' e-commerce personalization software.

Under the terms of the agreement, Xchange will resell Net Perceptions' Recommendation Engine to its customers on a hosted basis as part of its e-mail marketing offerings. Net Perceptions is now licensed to resell Xchange's Dialogue for eMessaging software to its clients.

So far, the two companies share only one customer -- Great Universal Stores, a large U.K.-based retail chain. Xchange and Net Perception said many of their clients are "click-and-mortar" businesses that are ideal for the combined services.
