XcelleNet Prepares for Wireless E-Business

XcelleNet Inc. is expected to announce today its has extended its mobile communications management system from laptop-only services to include hand-held PCs, Internet phones and interactive pagers.


The Atlanta company will target firms that need wireless e-business applications to compete in the global economy. The updated program is part of XcelleNet's Afaria product line, which is dedicated to wireless communication.


Joan E. Herbig, CEO, said the enhanced software prepared her company to tap communications markets currently emerging because of the convergence of wireless networks and the Internet. The price of the system was not disclosed.
