Wunderman strengthens position in Asia

Global marketing network Wunderman, an operating company of WPP, yesterday announced the acquisition of ComHaus Korea Ltd. and SRP Corporation Ltd., independent marketing agencies.

Through the acquisition the two agencies, both based in Seoul, South Korea, join Wunderman's international digital relationship marketing network. Wunderman now serves 12 countries throughout Asia and has 18 offices in the region.

The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. ComHaus was founded in 2000 and its clients include Microsoft and Softbank. SRP, founded in 2002, also serves Microsoft along with other including Adobe, EMC Computer Systems, CISCO and Seoul Metropolitan Government.

The move supports a Wunderman strategy to develop its network in fast-growing markets. The Asia Pacific region, particularly Korea, has a robust and advanced market for mobile advertising.
