Wunderman Cato Johnson Lays Off 60

Direct marketing agency Wunderman Cato Johnson, New York, laid off about 60 people this week, sources said, due to parent Young & Rubicam Inc.'s loss of the U.S. Postal Service business. Wunderman handled portions of direct marketing for the postal service. Last month, it consolidated all general advertising at Foote, Cone & Belding, New York. Direct marketing is now split between FCB Direct and Draft Worldwide, Chicago. Wunderman did not return calls at presstime.
