WPP's Enterprise IG Buys Scandinavia's Brindfors Design

WPP Group subsidiary Enterprise IG, London, said this week that it was acquiring Brindfors Design AB, Stockholm, Sweden, Scandinavia's largest design group. The new partnership will give the consultancy a presence in Norway and Sweden.

Brindfors Design's founder, Hans Brindfors, said the move would allow the design firm to better serve its international clients while competing more aggressively for new business in the local region.

WPP Group's most recent acquisition before Brindfors was The Brand Union Ltd., London, parent company of Lambie-Naim, which WPP said is known for "changing the face of British television."

The Brand Union employs 80 people and will continue to operate autonomously within WPP's Branding & Identity, Healthcare and Specialist Communications division.
