WPP's CommonHealth Unit Aligns With SoftWatch

CommonHealth, part of the WPP Group, New York, a healthcare-communications and marketing resource company, this week announced its new strategic alliance with online direct marketing company SoftWatch Inc. of New York and Tel Aviv, Israel.

The two companies plan to coordinate each of their core competencies toward the pursuit of new business while helping clients build more solid relationships across key audience segments.

"This alliance joins CommonHealth's brand and category knowledge with SoftWatch's 'e-health expertise' to extend the branding possibilities we can offer clients," said John Zweig, CEO at WPP's specialist communications unit.

Citing the need for more consumer-focused programs throughout the healthcare industry, Amir Kishon, M.D. and CEO at SoftWatch, who co-founded the company in 1994 said, "Healthcare transactions have become more impersonal" that "consumers have pushed back" and are now "seeking highly personalized, interactive solutions to their healthcare needs."
